Meet the Indian Peaks Auto crew:

Jamie Hess
Saab/VW/Audi Specialist

Jamie moved to Boulder in 1979. He began working at Boulder Valley VW/Saab in 1980 and was a VW/Saab technician until 1989, where he achieved VW Master Technician and Saab Qualified Technician rankings, as well as ASE Master Technician status.

He worked at - and ran - Scandinavian Auto from 1989, until opening Indian Peaks Auto in December 1995.

Jamie's hobbies include mountain biking, hiking, and camping. He and his wife keep very busy with three kids. With his attention to detail, your car is in good hands with Jamie, who'll care for your car as if were his own. Jamie takes pride in his work, and stands behind the quality of his service.

Tod Ralston
Saab/VW Specialist

Tod was born in Chicago, then moved to Colorado in 1976. He worked at Boulder Valley Volkswagen and Saab as a tech for three years, then as shop foreman until 1989. Tod's goal of working at an independent shop was achieved in 1995 when he helped open Indian Peaks Auto in 1985.

Tod was VW Master certified in 1985, and is a certified A & P Mechanic. Tod has crewed with Vanderhoof Racing at 24 hours of Daytona and 12 hours of Sebring in GT3 category.

Mark Hendershot
Saab/VW/Audi Specialist

Mark is a Colorado native, born and raised in Denver. At the age of 12, he achieved Eagle rank in Boy Scounts (making him the youngest Eagle Scout in the nation at the time). After high school, he attended the Denver Institute of Technology for Auto Mechanics. Following his graduation, he worked for Volkswagen in Denver

In 1982, Mark moved to Boulder and started working for Boulder Valley Volkswagen, where later, in 1987, he received his Volkswagen Master's Status. He then worked at Green Mountain Motors, where he helped his shop get voted the Best Repair Facility in 1992.

In 1995, he helped start Indian Peaks Auto, where he can continue to demonstrate his good customer service, fairness and honesty.

Jackson Threlkeld
Saab/VW/Service and Parts

Jackson (Jack) was born in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Western Michigan University and Wayne State University, where he studied history and music. He moved to Boulder in May of 1977 and started working at Boulder Valley Volkswagen & Saab, where he worked for 15 years as a Saab & VW Technician, Dispatcher and Quality Control Inspector. It was here that he achieved his Registered VW Technician status.

After leaving the dealership, he worked as Parts Manager for Scandinavian Auto Service and Green Mountain Motors. He then worked at and ran a Porsche/Audi/VW shop before joining Indian Peaks Auto in 1998, where he's been utilizing his experience as Parts Manager, and Service and Office Manager ever since.

Slawek Dzieran
Saab Specialist

Slawek was born in a small Polish town called Zielona Gora, which translates to Green Hill. He came to the U.S. in 1988, following his brother's footsteps, looking for a better life. He ended up in Memphis Tennessee, where he got a job at a Saab dealership as an apprentice. After many years of work, extensive factory training, and a lot of experience, Slawek became a Saab Master Technician.

In 1999, he decided to move from Memphis to Denver, and eventually to a Saab Dealership in Boulder. And in 2006, Slawek joined the Indian Peaks family, and has never looked back!

Jim King

Jim came to Colorado to study at the Denver Automotive & Deisel College. Upon arriving in Colorado, Jim caught the "ski bug" and did not want to leave. He started as a technician at a Porsche-Audi dealer in Denver, and has worked hard and studied to stay current with the latest in the automotive industry.

Jim has lived and worked in the Boulder area for over 20 years, and still loves Colorado for all the things that he gest to do here, including snowboarding, fly fishing and mountain biking.

Scott Wells
Parts/Service

Scott arrived in Boulder in 1979. He has worked for numerous dealerships including Empire Volvo and Smooth Motors here in Boulder. He recently joined Indian Peaks as a member of the Parts/Service team.
